President Joe Biden is concerned about his son Hunter Biden facing felony gun charges and the possibility of prison time.
The trial is scheduled to begin on June 3rd and is leading to tension at the White House as Biden closely monitors the legal battles facing his son.
“He worries about Hunter every single day, from the moment he wakes up to the moment he goes to sleep. That will only pick up during a trial,” one advisor stated.
Hunter Biden is accused of illegally purchasing a firearm in 2018 while using drugs, which he denied on the background check form.
His defense is arguing the charges should be dropped due to a previous agreement and challenging the constitutionality of the law banning gun ownership by drug users.
While Republicans may reference the trial, they are more interested in accusations of corruption and influence peddling against Hunter Biden which have not been prosecuted.
A guilty verdict could result in Hunter Biden facing up to 25 years in prison.
