At Monday’s congressional hearing, Dr. Anthony Fauci was grilled over his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic. Widely recognized as the face of the U.S. pandemic response as the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Fauci was on the hot seat detailing his role and decisions during the crisis.
The session was particularly intense, following a marathon 14-hour testimony given behind closed doors in January 2024, where Fauci was rigorously questioned about mandates and guidelines implemented during the pandemic.
But outside the heated discussions on public health policies and emails, it was a woman’s t-shirt that caught the eye and quickly ignited conversations across the country. While Fauci defended his tenure, a woman’s t-shirt boldly read “Jail Fauci,” creating a viral sensation across social media.
