Michelle Rohl, at 58 years old and a grandmother, qualified for the Paris Olympics in racewalking after finishing third in a recent 12.4-mile race during the Olympic trials.
Rohl, a former Olympian who competed in 1992, 1996, and 2000, retired to homeschool her kids but returned to competitive walking.
“I’ve never known anyone who is as mentally tough as her,” Rohl’s husband stated. “She likes to run, she likes to compete, and it’s a lifestyle for both of us. It makes her happy, and I’m just happy to be along for the ride.”
Despite being a grandmother, she remains dedicated, training daily and maintaining a disciplined regimen.
Her achievement reflects her mental toughness and love for running, supported by her husband.
