Beyoncé’s appearance at a Houston event for Vice President Kamala Harris drew widespread criticism after media reports inaccurately suggested she would perform. Instead, Beyoncé simply spoke to Harris supporters, disappointing fans who expected more.
NBC News, just days prior to the event, wrote, “Beyoncé expected to perform at Harris rally in Houston.”
“But she didn’t sing, disappointing all the people who came to see her (and not to see Harris),” former Trump communications director Tim Murtaugh wrote. “Why did they lie? It couldn’t have been to build a crowd, could it?”

The Houston event, in Beyoncé’s birthplace, aimed to boost support for Harris in a challenging political landscape.
The Harris campaign has often featured high-profile supporters in Democratic strongholds rather than swing states.
In contrast, former President Donald Trump’s campaign has focused primarily on grassroots efforts in key swing states.
Trump has held numerous events in recent weeks, engaging directly with supporters in North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Arizona.
Most recently, Trump held a historic rally at Madison Square Garden in New York City, selling out of tickets in just a few hours.
