Border Patrol agents in Blythe, California, apprehended two individuals, including a California man and his underage brother, after discovering a significant cache of firearms in their vehicle.

The seizure included 25 AK-style rifles, handguns, and ammunition magazines.

The suspects face federal charges related to the firearms seizure, believed to be the largest in recent Yuma Sector history.

Authorities suspect the weapons were intended for Mexico, with the pair allegedly picking them up in Phoenix, Arizona.

The incident has shed light on the ongoing battle against transnational criminal organizations trafficking weapons, emphasizing the importance of border security in preventing illicit activities and maintaining community safety.
