Hunter Biden’s Secret Service protection will remain unchanged despite his recent conviction on firearm-related charges linked to past drug addiction.

Referred to as ‘Captain’ by the Secret Service, Hunter Biden received protection throughout his trial and is expected to have personnel present at his sentencing hearing.

The agency typically extends protection beyond the obligatory age limit for presidential children.

Hunter Biden faces a potential 25-year sentence, though as a first-time offender, he may receive probation instead.

“Hunter Biden’s Secret Service protection will remain unchanged despite this week’s judicial outcome,” U.S. Secret Service Chief of Communications Anthony Guglielmi stated.

The jury’s decision was influenced by incriminating text messages with his late brother’s wife, revealing his drug-related struggles.

Despite intense deliberations, jurors focused on evidence rather than political affiliations or family ties.

“In all reality, and not because his last name is Biden — simply because anybody convicted of this kind of crime would probably get probation and a fine — that’s probably what he’ll get as well,” legal analyst Sara Azari said. “He’s not being treated above the law or any differently.”

“[The text messages showed], in my opinion, he was training to get drugs,” one juror said.

Hunter Biden “looks kind of defeated. He looks kind of helpless to me,” another juror noted. “I think he just needs to get away somewhere and get some real rehab if he hasn’t. Hopefully, he’s still not using.”

“I was expecting all of us to be at each other’s throats, you know, because of who his father is and how the political climate is in this country,” she said.
