The Trump Organization is embarking on new ventures, with plans to build a Trump Tower in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, focusing on luxury amenities for high-net-worth individuals.
The initiative follows a partnership with Dar Al Arkan for a $500 million Trump International hotel complex in Oman, expected to feature upscale offerings.
“We are thrilled to expand our footprint in the Middle East and bring the Trump standard of luxury to the region through our long-standing relationship with Dar Global,” Eric Trump stated.
Watchdog groups raise concerns over potential conflicts should Donald Trump return to the presidency, given the Organization’s foreign business engagements and historical financial dealings.
Despite legal challenges in New York, the Trump empire appears robust under the leadership of Trump’s sons, Eric and Donald Jr.
“The Trump Organization’s continued pursuit of foreign business projects raises perilous national security, corruption and constitutional concerns,” Citizens for Responsibility & Ethics in Washington (CREW) senior vice president Donald K. Sherman said.
“This is particularly true of their development in Saudi Arabia, whose government has a long history of apparently seeking to influence Donald Trump. If Trump were to return to the presidency, he would likely violate the Foreign Emoluments Clause of the Constitution, as he did repeatedly in his first term in office.”
