Former NBA player Royce White, an outspoken supporter of former President Donald Trump, will challenge Democratic Sen. Amy Klobuchar in the upcoming November election after winning the Republican primary.
White, who describes himself as a “MAGA extremist,” defeated retired Naval officer Joe Fraser and now faces a significant fundraising challenge, entering the race with approximately $53,000 while Klobuchar boasts over $12 million.
Known for his provocative political statements, White gained attention for his endorsement of Trump and his past performances at basketball events.

Having previously run for Congress, he aims to position himself as a relatable alternative to Klobuchar, emphasizing his personal struggles, including Generalized Anxiety Disorder.
While he aligns with right-wing candidates supporting Trump’s possible return to the presidency, White has also expressed support for a potential RFK Jr. vice presidential run.
His campaign may attract donations from MAGA supporters capitalizing on his celebrity status.
