Former President Donald Trump recently made a stop at a Pennsylvania McDonald’s, taking on the role of fry cook and serving food to patrons.
The visit followed his earlier claims that Vice President Kamala Harris had fabricated her experience about working at McDonald’s during college.
“We don’t want to hear fake promises, even something like she worked very long and hard hours over french fries at McDonalds,” Trump said.
“She never worked at McDonald’s. It’s a fake story,” he added.
After his shift, he praised the franchise and joked that he had officially worked at McDonald’s longer than Harris.
“I’ll tell you what, it’s a great franchise, it’s a great company, and they’ve been very, very nice. And, uh, and come on, you know, if you look at really what’s happening, look at the crowd over there, look how happy everybody is,” Trump said.
“They’re happy because they want hope. They need hope. And that’s what we’re doing, that’s what we’re gonna give, make sure there’s hope.”
“Now I have worked at McDonald’s. I’ve now worked for 15 minutes more than Kamala,” Trump quipped. “She never worked here. I’ve worked at McDonald’s.
“Why would she lie about that?” Trump was asked by a reporter.
“Because she’s lyin’ Kamala, that’s why,” Trump pressed.
