Vice President Kamala Harris recently told a group of Christian protesters that they were attending the “wrong rally” at a campaign event in Wisconsin. The statement has since led to widespread backlash for the campaign.
Harris had made false claims regarding former President Trump’s abortion stance, prompting a protester to shout that she was lying.
Harris dismissed the protesters, at which point another student spoke up.
Students yelled, “Jesus is Lord!” and “Christ is King!”. Harris quickly said, “Oh, you guys are at the wrong rally.”
“No, I think you meant to go to the smaller one down the street,” she said.
“She doesn’t know what the hell she’s saying,” Trump later said. Harris is “anti-religion.”
The Harris Campaign claimed the protesters were not removed, but footage ultimately revealed otherwise.
The protesters, students from La Crosse University, said their goal was to share pro-Christian content, not to make a political statement.
